Kia ora, my name is Gill.

I believe we hold within our minds and bodies the tools to successfully address problems in our lives. I am deeply passionate about helping you discover these tools to reconnect fully with yourself. Let's embark on this journey together.

After receiving my Master’s in Counselling, I spent over ten years as a school guidance counsellor, working with students and whānau. As a talk therapist, I have also had success helping others to find sustainable solutions that improve their lives.

I have added Faster EFT (tapping) to my practice, enabling me to understand the mechanics of the mind and facilitate transformative changes in clients’ mental and emotional well-being.

As an NZAC supervisor, I offer culturally competent supervision. I work across a range of sectors and industries, helping to enhance professional development, ensure ethical practice, provide emotional support, and promote well-being.

Couples counselling is another service which offers a supportive space for partners to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen their relationship. Through guided conversations and therapeutic techniques, couples can better understand each other and develop healthier, more fulfilling connections.

In my free time, I love juicing, experiencing the beautiful New Zealand scenery, and spending time with my family.

what people have to say:

I always feel heard with Gillian. She is incredible and knows what she is doing. Gillian creates a very safe and secure environment to express anything in. We always end up having so fun I laugh so much! I can be myself with her and I always leave feeling amazing!

I am 76 years old and found that I was suffering from profound grief and loss with daily bouts of weeping and tears welling up in my eyes and rolling down my cheeks. I needed HELP! With infinite patience, Gill took me back through the most sensitive and uncomfortable events in my life, right back to early childhood, the primal source of my grief. Together we “tapped” the grief and pain away, “Let it be, let it be.” so that I was a “peace” and no longer felt angry and resentful. Gill assured me that I was “allowed” to change my perception of events and heal. I now have a new lease on life and am at peace with myself and those around me. Thank you Gill, you are wonderful.

I have worked with Gillian multiple times, and it has been so good. The first time I worked with her I was shocked because she helped me and guided me in processing my earliest fears that were holding me back, these fears I had never brought to light because I didn’t know how to verbalize them or consider them. After the session, I felt as if I had gotten back over 45 years of my life - for that long I was in emotional pain and just living with it, and Gillian helped me process that by metaphorically pulling me up from the fears that were defeating me. Gillian followed up with me consistently and I feel as though I was safe emotionally as she was able to comfort me over our following sessions. I had a tendency to be very guarded around the topics she helped me with and she was very empathetic to that. I never felt unsafe working with her and aside from that, when I was processing she was able to make me feel safe to feel these painful memories, I felt understood. I look forward to working with her again. I think she would be able to work with all types of people and help them process emotions. Not only is she professional but very kind and fun to work with.
